Lightbar and LEDs
The DualSense has three groups of lights you can control: the lightbar around the touchpad, the five player LEDs under it and the mute LED on the mic button. Like every output, they are applied by DS Update Output.
Lightbar
| Node | What it does |
|---|---|
| DS Set Lightbar Color | Sets the colour (Linear Color). |
| DS Disable Lightbar | Turns it off (sets it to black). |
The colour components are sent as they are, from 0–1 to 0–255, without sRGB conversion. Pick colours by their linear values in the colour picker: R 1, G 0.35, B 0 is a bright orange.
Player LEDs
DS Set Player LEDs lights the indicators the way the PS5 shows player numbers:
| Preset | LEDs |
|---|---|
Off | none |
Player 1 | center |
Player 2 | center-left and center-right |
Player 3 | left, center and right |
Player 4 | all except the center |
Options:
- Brightness:
High,MediumorLow. - Fade: fades the LEDs in instead of switching them on at once.
For any other pattern use DS Set Player LEDs (Bitmask): tick the LEDs you want (Left, Middle Left, Middle, Middle Right, Right).
Mute LED
DS Set Mic LED sets the LED on the mute button: Off, On or Pulse. The plugin does not mute any microphone: the LED is yours to use, for example to show that voice chat is muted, and the button itself is the DualSense Mic Button input key.
From Force Feedback Effects
Unreal's Force Feedback Effect assets can also set the lightbar colour for their duration, with the Device Color property. See Force Feedback Effects.
