Installation
1. Download the right package
Get the plugin from Gumroad. There is one zip per engine version: pick the v2.1 package for your engine (UE57 or UE58).
2. Copy it into your project
Close the editor
Unreal locks plugin binaries while the project is open.
Copy the plugin folder
Unzip the package and copy the DualSenseUnrealEnginePlugin folder into the Plugins folder of your project. Create Plugins if it does not exist.

Open the project
The plugin is enabled by default. You can check it in Edit → Plugins, under the Input category: it is listed as DualSense UnrealEngine Plugin.
3. Turn off RawInput
v2 reads the controller itself. If the RawInput plugin is enabled with a DualSense entry in DefaultInput.ini (the v1 setup), every button arrives twice.
- Disable the Raw Input plugin in Edit → Plugins, or
- remove the DualSense
+DeviceConfigurations=(VendorID="0x054C",...)lines from[/Script/RawInput.RawInputSettings]inConfig/DefaultInput.ini.
Coming from v1? The migration guide lists everything else that changes.
4. Check that the controller is found
Connect the controller with a USB cable or pair it over Bluetooth in the Windows settings, then press Play in the editor. The Output Log shows a line like this for each controller:
LogDualSense: DualSense #0 connected (USB)
From here you can drive it with the DS nodes: continue with the quick start.
Packaging your game
Nothing to configure: the plugin is packaged with the game and your players do not install anything, not even a driver.
The plugin is built for Win64 only. If the same project also ships on other platforms, keep the DualSense calls in code that only runs on Windows.
